Bought their Kesar Pista Pedha 500gms. With sheer trust. When opened the box at home, all the pedhas in the box were hard, slightly cracked, STALE!

Love this place from childhood this is regular sweet shop but with typical traditional sweet speciality like malvani khaja ( sweet crunchy batter stick induce with ginger flavour) fun to eat also must take kaju ladoos( cashew nut sugar syrup balls)
Which is only gets this shop I guess only shop in Mumbai sells this a small packet cost at present rs.250.
The best part is teast remains same as my parents also used to buy from their childhood.

It's an old sweet shop has all maharastrian delicacies. However the quality was not that good. The ghee or oil whatever they had used in sweets had a very plastic like feel

Surly Staff, Grumpy Proprietor, Good Quality Sweets
SERVICE .... What's That? I wonder if the proprietor has ever smiled in his life, and the staff are not much better. But the quality of their sweets is excellent and that's the only reason why I still patronise this well known sweetmeat shop in Dadar (W). The price is also reasonable. Boondi laddoos with cashew pieces are fresh and good @Rs12 each. MohanThal @Rs440/kg is one of the best mohanthal in Mumbai. Haven't tried the other sweets but they should be okay. Wish they would pay at least some attention to service. Even a free of cost smile would do instead of grumpy faces!

Today I was at chanderkar to buy some sweets. The customer before us was a duo -
mother & daughter. They had bought a few kilos of mithai & were requesting for equally splitting it into smaller boxes. And the sweaty salesman was arguing very rudely. At last, highly frustrated, they asked him to keep it to himself. Shamelessly he did. And the owner did not intervene. I was about to give him a piece of my mind explaining how he should respect the customer but saw no point in waiting there. I left without buying.
And buying at Panshikar, right opp was a pleasant, quick experience.
